First Appointment

What to Expect

Upon entering our office, our front desk Office Assistant will welcome you as a new member of our family.  We will request that you complete our new patient intake form, if you haven’t already completed the online form. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.

Consultation and Examination

Next, you will have a consultation with the doctor who will listen to your health-related concerns prior to your physical examination.  Your initial appointment is primarily a fact-finding visit designed for us to learn more about you, your condition, and  expectations as well as to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals. After your consultation, you will undergo a thorough and complete chiropractic examination.   We will assess of your posture, your spinal alignment and mobility, your range of motion, muscle flexibility and strength and your reflexes. Additional standard neurological, orthopedic and physical tests will be performed as well. Nothing will be done in our office without your understanding and your prior consent.

X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, the doctor will determine if  an X-ray examination is warranted.  X-rays can provide additional information to the doctor about your condition and help determine the most effective course of action and treatment plan designed specifically for you.

Report of Findings
Once all the information from your physical and x-ray examination is collected, the doctor will have you book a follow-up appointment called a Report of Findings. At this time, the doctor will discuss with you the results of requested x-rays as well as let you know of their recommendations for care including type of treatment, duration of each visit, length of recommended treatment plan as well as wellness programs available.

Wellness Program
Your wellness program will include treatment you may benefit from outside the office such as ice or heat application instructions, home exercises and certain activities or postures to avoid.

Our wellness team will work with you to help you learn healthy habits and new routines.  Since every person is unique, our customized wellness plan are specifically designed to meet individual requirements .  The purpose  of our wellness program is for you  to learn strategies to help support a lifetime of good health.   The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease.
